Supporting “Pull” campaign in BlueAdServer

Proximitia Marketing Inc. announced the release of the newest version of BlueAdServer (verison 2.6.1) that supports creating and managing “Pull campaigns”. “Pull campaigns” are the campaigns that mobile users send a “text” to a Bluetooth access point over “Bluetooth” radio signal, and the Bluetooth access point sends back a medial content (picture, audio, video , application, etc.) to the mobile in response to the “text” sent by user.

This functionality has always been embedded with the system and it was available through advanced options of the access server. The recent changes in the BlueAdServer software exposes this feature to the end user through BlueAdServer’s Graphical User Interface (GUI).

Batch Campaign Management, BlueAdServer version 2.5.1 Release Candidate 1 (RC1)

Proximitia is introducing the Release Candidate No.1 of BlueAdServer version 2.5.1 that is capable of managing campaigns in different batches. This feature is useful when the user wants to get more than one remote Bluetooth access points broadcast the same advertising/marketing contents. Users can create an infinite combination of licensed Bluetooth access points, select either or all of them, and have those selected batches broadcast the same marketing content(s). Same approach is applicable when the user wants to remove all contents from one or multiple batches of Bluetooth access points.

If you are the current client of Proximitia and wish to try the batch campaign management system of BlueAdServer or to obtain BlueAdServer 2.5.1. RC1, please feel free to contact our support department at support@proximitia.com.

Road map: BlueAdServer 2.5.1 RC1 is available to current clients to try this new feature. Any stability issues, functionalities and the whole performance of the system will be monitored by reviewing clients’ feedbacks. If there is any issues brought up by clients, those issues will be addressed by Proximitia. During a certain period of time new builds of BlueAdServer containing bug fixes and improvements will be released and announced to customers in this weblog. Proximitia, keeps studying and reviewing the existing features of BlueAdServer to decide which one of them can be introduced to the batch management mechanism.

Proximitia expands its business domain to United Arab Emirates

Effective January 23, 2008, Proximitia Marketing Inc. expanded its business domain to UAE by signing an official agreement with AAT, a local high-tech company in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. To get the business started, Proximitia provided AAT a remarkable number of BlueAdServers to employ them in major retail and commercial places in Dubai to do proximity marketing. All front-end Bluetooth access points are managed and controlled remotely from AAT’s facility using the software associated in the BlueAdServer package over TCP/IP network.

Also, AAT became an exclusive representative in the Middle East area to promote and offer Proximitia’s products and services. All potential customers and buyers in that area are encouraged to contact AAT to get Proximitia’s products and services. The detailed contact information of AAT will be posted online soon.

BlueAdServer Version 2.0, Build No.15 released

We have released BlueAdServer version 2.0 to support firewalls and proxy servers. This new version of BlueAdServer is ideal when an end user wants to communicate with more than one Bluetooth access point residing behind of a firewall or proxy server over TCP/IP network with a single IP address.

This new release of software has some remarkable improvements in the speed of both populating the list of Bluetooth access points and communicating with them so that it eliminates GUI flickering and long wait times until all access points become available to manage. Due to the recent modifications, improvements, and introducing a more robust licensing mechanism we decided to discontinue supporting all older versions of BlueAdServer from May 1, 2008.

Therefore we provide a free upgrade to the eligible clients and also upgrade discount to the non-eligible clients to help them to migrate from the older versions of the software to this newest release. BlueAdServer Version 2.0 will be the “base” framework for our future enhancements.

BlueAdServer Version 2.0 has already been shipped to our client in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to help them in managing their marketing campaigns in different Bluetooth hotspots more efficiently.

Persian New Year’s Advertising Campaigns

Proximitia Marketing Inc. has started different advertising programs for the businesses located in Greater Toronto Area during Persian New Year events and ceremonies. One of the most important events is New Year’s Bazaar where people do their New Year’s traditional shoppings. These Bazaars are the most attractive places for businesses like real estate, residential and commercial mortgage brokerages, and stores to offer their services and products to the Bazaar visitors. Usually a Bazaar is full of different banners, ads, and booths paid by the event’s sponsors.

For the first time, Proximitia Marketing Inc. decided to employ BlueAdServer in Premier Ballroom and Convention Center, Richmond Hill, Ontario where the Persian New Year Bazaar is going on from March 15th, 2008 to Monday 17th, 2008 (inclusive). This program has been introduced with the cooperation of “Aria” association that is responsible for arranging this great event.

It is expected a large and remarkable number of people to visit this event during the mentioned day above, and this fact led us to provide a Bluetooth marketing system for businesses and sponsors interested in reaching more eyeballs.

From today, the sales department of Proximitia Marketing Inc. is ready to accept sponsors for this campaign. The campaign’s schedule is as below:
